Retail sales for the month were strong with the overall decline attributed to a temporary reduction in fleet deliveries compared with May of last year.

The award recognizes the best recent-year used models across seven categories and takes into account things like long-term value retention and driver satisfaction.

The 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Electric is one of the newest battery-powered vehicles to hit the market, and among the latest-generation of all-electric vehicles that started with modern pioneers like the Nissan Leaf and continues with the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt.

The Ioniq is actually the name of a trio of electrified cars in the Hyundai lineup. As its name suggests, the Ioniq Electric is, you got it, all electric. The other two players in the lineup are the Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid, which have a traditional gasoline engine along with an electrified powertrain.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 2, 2017 – Hyundai Motor America today set an all-time mark for monthly Tucson sales and along with increased demand for Elantra, Sonata and the Santa Fe family led to sales of 63,050 vehicles in April, an overall increase of 1 percent compared with April 2016.
